About Martogi
- Martogi Sitohang
- Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia
- Born in Harian Boho Samosir Indonesia. He started learn batak music instrument at 6 from his father Guntur Sitohang a music teacher in a Harian Boho village Samosir Indonesia. Harian Boho village is also the birth place of the renowned Indonesian poet Sitor Situomorang. He studied and earned an honor degree in Etnomusicology from North Sumatera University in Medan and is now master of all traditional batak music and most of most modern music instruments. Martogi has performed in various live shows, television shows and festivals both domestic and overseas including in United States and Europe.
